<br />ORDINANCE N0. 1042 <br />By Mr. Davis <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE N0. 921 BY INCREASING THE <br />COMPENSATION OF SKILLED LABORERS IN THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF HAYFIELD, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OHIO, <br />THAT: <br />Sec. 1. Sec. 3. of Ordinance No. 921, entitled, "An Ordinance Creating <br />the Position of Service Director and Amending Ordinance No. 298 as Amended," is <br />hereby amended to read as follows: <br />"Sec. 3. The compensation of the Service Director shall <br />be $50.00 per month, effective as of January 1, 1966, but <br />may be changed at any time by Council. The Village shall also <br />pay to Blue Cross of Northeast Ohio, Inc., the premiums for <br />hospitalization and medical mutual insurance for the Service <br />Director and for the Assistant Service Director. The compen- <br />sation of skilled laborers and other employees to assist the <br />Service Director, except for the Clerk, whose compensation is <br />fixed by another ordinance, shall be at the rate of $2.00 per <br />hour. Persons designated by the Service Director as unskilled <br />employees in the Service Department shall be compensated at <br />the rate of $1.25 per hour." <br />Sec. 2. In all other respects said Ordinance No. 921 shall remain in <br />full force and effect. <br />Sec. 3. This Ordinance is hereby determined to be an emergency measure, <br />- necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety, and <br />welfare of the Village of Mayfield and its inhabitants, for the reason that it is <br />immediately necessary to employ persons for adequate compensation to perform the <br />services of skilled employees, and this Ordinance shall take effect and be in <br />force from and after the date of its passage. <br />Passed this 15th day of January, 1968. <br />~.Ni~L~ <br />a r - esid nt of Council <br />%?epQresD 3//GJ7 <br />Attest: o / <br />(SEAL) Clerk-Treasurer <br />~' <br />
