A. - d+fay 1, 1968 <br />471HEREAS, throughout the United Staten, on May 1, 1968, all American <br />citizens will Join in a specially meaningful national observance of the <br />indispensable rules of law and courts in American life. <br />WHEREAS, designated as Law Day U. S. A. by Presidential and guberna- <br />torial proclamation, the observance will be a time for renewing our faith in <br />the role of law as a sure safeguard of the welfare of man and women living <br />together in organized society, and the brightest hope for achieving peace in <br />n troubled and anxious world. <br />l~AIEREAS, the purpose of Latu In Your Life Weelc and Law Day U. S. A. <br />is to foster an abiding respect for law which 3s essential in a free society, <br />and to remind us that in all our private and public affairs, we are safe- <br />guarded by laws of our own making, administered by courts in which the rights <br />of citizens are equal. <br />SdHEREAS, it is fitting that the citizens of Plagfield Village, Ohio, <br />set aside n week in which to rededicate themselves to the principles upon <br />which our way of life is based and to the laws and courts which safeguard the <br />freedoms established under our Federal and State Constitutions. ' <br />WHEREAS, public bodies, schools, and colleges, and private organizations <br />of all kinds are urged to participate in the observance of Lato Day U. S. A. <br />and Law In Your Life t,7eelc with appropriate programs and ceremonies. The <br />occasion is an appropriate one for recognition by every citizen, end by every <br />professional, religious, fraternnl, and civic organizaCion in the City. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, I, Vines J. Buss, Mayor of the Village of Mayfield, <br />do hereby proclaim April 28, through May 4, 1968, as Law In Your Life ideek, <br />and do proclaim tiny 1, 1968, ae Lacs Day U. S.
