<br />c~~,' <br />ORDINANCE N0. 1066 <br />BY: MR. ~?API~ <br />AN ORDINANCE LEVYING SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS FOR THE IMPROVEMENT <br />OF LANDER ROAD, IN THE VILLAGE OF HAYFIELD, BETWEEN CERTAIN <br />'TERMINI, BY GRADING, DRATNING, CURBING, PAVING (INCLUDINB CURB <br />CONNECTIONS WHERE NECESSARY) AND INSTALLING SIDEWALKS, TOGETHER <br />WITH ALL NECESSARY APPURTENANCES. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF HAYFIELD, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, <br />STATE OF OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. That the revised assessments of the cost and expense of the <br />improvement of Lander Road, in the Village of Mayfield, Ohio, from Wilson Mills <br />Road, southerly to the south corporation line of the Villages of Mayfield and <br />Highland Heights, Ohio, by grading, draining, curbing, paving (including curb con- <br />nections where necessary) and installing sidewalks, together with all necessary <br />appurtenances, amounting in the aggregate to Thirty-Five Thousand Six Hundred <br />Sixty-Four Dollars and Fifty-Four Cents ($35,664.54), as reported to this Council <br />on the 17th day of June, 1968, by the Engineer of this Village, and now on file <br />in the office of the Clerk-Treasurer of the Council, be, and the same is, hereby <br />adopted and confirmed, and that there be and hereby are levied and assessed upon <br />the lots and lands bounding and abutting upon said improvement, the several amounts <br />reported as aforesaid, which assessments are in'proportion to the special benefits <br />and are not in excess•of any statutory limitation, <br />Section 2. That this Council hereby finds and determines that the revised <br />assessments as now on file in the office of said Clerk-Treasurer are in the same <br />proportion to the estimated assessments as originally filed as the actual cost <br />of the above described improvement is to the estimated cost of the improvement as <br />originally filed. <br />Section 3. That the assessment against each lot or parcel of land shall <br />be payable in cash within 30 days after the passage of this ordinance or at the <br />option of the owner in 20 annual installments with interest at the same rate as <br />shall be borne by bonds to be issued in anticipation of the collection of the same. <br />All cash payments shall be made to the Treasurer of this Village. All assessments <br />and installments thereof remaining unpaid at the expiration of said 30 days shall <br />be certified by the Clerk-Treasurer of this Council to the County Auditor as pro- <br />vided by law to be placed by him on the tax duplicate and collected as other taxes <br />are collected. <br />Section 4. That the Clerk-Treasurer of this Council shall cause a notice <br />of passage of this Ordinance to be published once in a newspaper of general circu- <br />lation in this Village and to continue on file in his office and revised assess- <br />ments. <br /> <br />
