c~~,' ORDINANCE N0. 1066 BY: MR. ~?API~ AN ORDINANCE LEVYING SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF LANDER ROAD, IN THE VILLAGE OF HAYFIELD, BETWEEN CERTAIN 'TERMINI, BY GRADING, DRATNING, CURBING, PAVING (INCLUDINB CURB CONNECTIONS WHERE NECESSARY) AND INSTALLING SIDEWALKS, TOGETHER WITH ALL NECESSARY APPURTENANCES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF HAYFIELD, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, STATE OF OHIO, THAT: Section 1. That the revised assessments of the cost and expense of the improvement of Lander Road, in the Village of Mayfield, Ohio, from Wilson Mills Road, southerly to the south corporation line of the Villages of Mayfield and Highland Heights, Ohio, by grading, draining, curbing, paving (including curb con- nections where necessary) and installing sidewalks, together with all necessary appurtenances, amounting in the aggregate to Thirty-Five Thousand Six Hundred Sixty-Four Dollars and Fifty-Four Cents ($35,664.54), as reported to this Council on the 17th day of June, 1968, by the Engineer of this Village, and now on file in the office of the Clerk-Treasurer of the Council, be, and the same is, hereby adopted and confirmed, and that there be and hereby are levied and assessed upon the lots and lands bounding and abutting upon said improvement, the several amounts reported as aforesaid, which assessments are in'proportion to the special benefits and are not in excess•of any statutory limitation, Section 2. That this Council hereby finds and determines that the revised assessments as now on file in the office of said Clerk-Treasurer are in the same proportion to the estimated assessments as originally filed as the actual cost of the above described improvement is to the estimated cost of the improvement as originally filed. Section 3. That the assessment against each lot or parcel of land shall be payable in cash within 30 days after the passage of this ordinance or at the option of the owner in 20 annual installments with interest at the same rate as shall be borne by bonds to be issued in anticipation of the collection of the same. All cash payments shall be made to the Treasurer of this Village. All assessments and installments thereof remaining unpaid at the expiration of said 30 days shall be certified by the Clerk-Treasurer of this Council to the County Auditor as pro- vided by law to be placed by him on the tax duplicate and collected as other taxes are collected. Section 4. That the Clerk-Treasurer of this Council shall cause a notice of passage of this Ordinance to be published once in a newspaper of general circu- lation in this Village and to continue on file in his office and revised assess- ments.
