~~ <br />(3) <br />Section 3. Proclamations: The proclamation of emergency provided <br />, in this Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its execution and <br />issuance by the Mayor, and the original thereof shall be filed and remain in <br />the office of the Clerk-Treasurer. Dissemination of information as to the <br />proclamation shall be made to the public by appropriate news media, or, if <br />time does not permit, any other form of oral or written public announcement <br />calculated to inform the public as to the existence of the proclamation. <br />Section 4, Duration of Emergency: Any emergency proclaimed in ac- <br />cordance with the provisions of this Ordinance shall terminate after 48 hours <br />from the issuance thereof, or upon the issuance of a proclamation determining <br />an emergency no longer exists, which ever occurs first; provided, however, <br />that such emergency may be extended for such additional periods of time. as <br />determined necessary by the Mayor. <br />Section 5. Any person who shall willfully fail~or refuse to comply <br />with the orders of duly authorized law enforcement officers of personnel <br />charged with the responsibility of enforcing the proclamation of emergency <br />authorized herein, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction <br />thereof, shall be punished by a fine of not less than One Hundred Dollars <br />($100.00) and not more than Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00), or by imprisonment <br />for a period of not to exceed six (6) months, or by both. <br />Section 6. <br />measure, necessary far <br />health and safety, the <br />governmental functions <br />effect and be in force <br />Passed this, <br />['his Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />the immediate preservation of the public peace, property, <br />emergency being the necessity to carry on the necessary <br />imposed by law, and as such, this Ordinance shall t2ke <br />immediately upon its passage by Council. <br />Zlst day of October 1968, <br />MAY - SIDENT OF COUNCIL <br />ATTEST: <br />(SEAL CLERK- ~ EASURER <br />f <br /> <br />
