~ ~ `/ <br />ORDINANCE N0. 69-11 <br />By: Mr. Davis <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF MILT MILLER PONTIAC, INC., <br />FOR THE SALE OF A POLICE AUTOMOBILE TO THE VILLAGE OF MAY FIELD <br />WHEREAS, Milt Miller Pontiac, Inc., a responsible bidder, duly <br />filed its bid with the Clerk-Treasurer of the Village of Mayfield, in <br />accordance with law, offering to sell to the Vaillage a new 1969 Pontiac <br />Catalina four-door sedan automobile, equipped in accordance with specifi- <br />cations, for •the sum of Three Thousand Two Hundred Fourteen Dollars and <br />Forty Cents ($3,214.40), with an allowance of One Thousand Six Hundred <br />Dollars ($1,600.00) for trade-in of a 1968 Chrysler four-door sedan auto- <br />mobile now used by the Village Police Department, with the provision that, <br />if the Village can realize more money on said used automobile by selling <br />it between the time of the bid and the time of delivery of the new car, <br />the Village may do so, and said bid is in accordance with the specifications <br />established in connection with the Notice for Bdds; and <br />TdHEREAS, said bid of Milt Miller Pontiac, Inc., is the lowest <br />and best bid submitted; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Council of the Village <br />of Mayfield, Cuyahoga County, Ohio, that: <br />Section 1. The bid of Milt Miller Pontiac, Inc., offering to <br />sell to the Village of Mayfield anew 1969 Pontiac Catalina four-door <br />sedan automobile and equipment as described in its bid submitted in response <br />to the advertisement for bids, for the sum of Three Thousand Two Hundred <br />Fourteen Dollars and Forty Cents ($3,214.40), and title charges, with an <br />allowance of One Thousand Six Hundred Dollars ($1,600.00) as a trade-in <br />for the 1968 Chrysler four-door sedan automobile now used~by the Village <br />Police Department, be, and the same is hereby accepted. <br />Section 2. The Mayor and the Clerk-Treasurer of the Village <br />are hereby authorized and empowered to execute all such documents and to do <br />all things necessary to carry out the provisions of this Ordinance. <br />Section 3. This Ordinance is deemed to be an emergency measure, <br />necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety <br />and welfare of the Village of May field and its inhabitants, in order to <br />obtain as soon as economically possible better police protection through <br />more efficient equipment, and the said Ordinance. shall go into effect and be <br />enforced immediately upon the date of its passage. <br />Passed this 17th day of March, 196 <br />'~ <br />~~fayorj 'President of Council <br />ATTEST: <br />Clerk-Treasurer <br />(SEAL) <br /> <br />
