i ~~ <br />ORDINANCE N0. 69-18 <br />BY: MR. SCHMIDT <br />AN ORDINANCE CREATING THE POSITION OF DEPUTY <br />CLERK OF THE MAYOR'S COURT AND DISPATCHER, AND <br />FIXING THE TENURE, COMPENSATION, BOND AND DUTIES <br />OF SAID OFFICE. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF HAYFIELD, <br />CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. There is hereby created the position of Deputy <br />Clerk of the Mayor's Court and Dispatcher, who shall be appointed by <br />the Mayor, with the consent of a majority of the members elected to <br />council, and shall serve until removed at any time by an affirmative <br />vote of a majority of the members elected to council. <br />Section 2. Compensation. The Deputy Clerk of the rlayor`s <br />Court and Dispatcher shall be compensated at the rate of Two Dollars <br />and Fifteen Cents ($2.15) per hour, but such compensation may be <br />changed at any time by Resolution or Ordinance. The person appointed <br />to said office shall give bond in the sum of Five Thousand Dollars <br />($5,000.00) with sufficient surety to be approved by the Playor. <br />Section 3. Duties. The Deputy Clerk of the Mayor's Court <br />and Dispatcher shall be on duty at the Village Hall from 3:00 p.m. <br />until 11:00 p.m. every Pionday through Friday, inclusive, unless other <br />hours are assigned by the .Chief of Police. Such person shall answer <br />all telephone calls, take messages and complaints and relay the same <br />by proper procedures, accept waivers and fines and issue receipts <br />therefor for the Mayor's Court, and perform such other clerical duties <br />such as but not limited to typing, filing and working on Court <br />Records, as may be assigned by the Chief of Police or by the Clerk <br />of the Mayor's Court. <br />Section 4. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure, necessary for the immediate preservation of the <br />public peace, health, safety and welfare of the Village of Mayfield <br />and its inhabitants in order that proper personnel may be obtained <br />to do the work of the Mayor's Court and the Police Department and so <br />that there will be coverage at all times of day, and this Ordinance <br />shall take effect and be in force from and after the date of its <br />passage. <br />Passed this ~,G+ day of ~nr;l 1969. <br />'"` r - d' <br />ATTEST:. ~C~g~/.~ .d~i~~ <br />/,,' ~ Gf MAYOF~-° PRESID ~ TT OF COUNCIL <br />d ~ ~ "- <br />~i~` <br />(SEAL) CLERK-TREASURER <br />
