I56 <br />ORDINANCE N0. 6q-24 <br />BY: hIIt. COhfELLA <br />AN ORDINANCE TO CREAT A PETTY CASH FUND FOR THE FIRE DEPARTMENT. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF hIAYFIELD, CUYAHOGA <br />COUNTY, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. There is hereby created a Petty Cash Fund to be in <br />the charge of the Chief of the Fire Department of the Village of Mayfield, Ohio. <br />Section 2. There shall be paid from the General Fund the sum of <br />$25.00 into the Petty Cash Fund of the Fire Department, and from said fund, <br />the Chief shall be authorized to pay emergency expenses for the purpose of <br />said department, which, while within the general scope of expenses authorized <br />by the current appropriation ordinance, have not been specifically authorized, <br />payment for which cannot be postponed until the next meeting of Council. The <br />Chief shall take a receipt for such payments and shall present them at the <br />next meeting of the Council, and if Council approves such payments, it shall <br />order the reimbursement of the Petty Cash Fund of the Eire Department to the <br />extent of such payments, so that, immediately after each Council meeting, <br />there shall always be the sum of $25.00 available in said fund for use until <br />the next Council meeting. <br />Section 3. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, <br />safety and welfare for the Village of Mayfield and its inhabitants, in order <br />to provide for the more expeditious operation of the office of the Fire Depart- <br />ment, and shall go into effect and be in force immediately upon the date of <br />its passage. <br />Passed this _~ day of Mom„ 1969. <br />ATTEST: ~,/~" h~OR" - PRESIDENT OF COUNCIL <br />/~"~~ r <br />(SEAL) CLERK-TREASURER <br /> <br />
