CHAPTER 1117 PLANNING CRITERIA <br />~~ <br />..: Sec . 1117.01 <br />Sec. 1117.02 <br />Sec. 1117.03 <br />,Sec. 1.117.0+ <br />' I <br />Sec. 1117.05 <br />Intent <br />Topography and <br />Natural Features <br />Arterial and Collector <br />Streets <br />Local Street Pattern <br />in Residential Areas <br />Streets for Apartment <br />Developments <br />Sec. 1117.01 INTENT . <br />sec. 1117.06 <br />Sec. 1117.07 <br />Sec. 1117.08" <br />Sec. 1117.09 <br />Sec.~1117.10 <br />Streets for Business <br />Developments <br />Streets for Indus- <br />trial Subdivisions <br />Design of Blocks <br />Design of Lots <br />Public Land Uses <br />Planning criteria are herein established as fundamental principles <br />and each are to be applied with professional skill in the planning, sub- <br />dividing and resubdividing the land so as to achieve, among others, the <br />following purposes: <br />~l <br />To provide for the planning of attractive and harmonious neighbor- <br />hoods, to take advantage of the topography and natural features; and <br />to relate the planning of neighborhoods to a pedestrian and vehicular <br />circulation system, to implement the Street Plan, to provide conven- <br />ient and safe local streets; and <br />to provide quiet neighborhoods - to plan a common green area network <br />where desired -under all types oY neighborhood planning, however, <br />each lot shall form a functional building site; and <br />to provide for the implementation of the community facilities plan <br />by reserving and acquiring sites for public uses; and <br />to provide for planned unit industrial subdivisions by the applica- <br />tion of the same basic planning criteria; and <br />to provide for the co-ordination of planning and division of land <br />in connection with planned development areas, where buildings are <br />included, and to carry out the objectives of the Master Plan. <br />Sec. 1117.02 TOPOGRAPHY AND NATiJRAL FEATURES <br />Land developments ahal]. be planned to take advantage of the topo- <br />graphy of the land in order to utilize the natural contours, to economize <br />i in the construction of drainage facilities,"to reduce the amount of <br />MvsR - -35- <br />
