MAYNARD AGAINST THE <br />VILLAGE OF HAYFIELD. <br /> <br />a <br />V~ <br />I~,J <br />Q <br />a <br />Be It Ordained by Council of the Village of Mayfield, Cuyahoga <br />County, Ohio, that: <br />Section 1. The Solicitor of the Village of Mayfield is hereby <br />authorized to complete the settlement of the case of Thomas D. Maynard vs. <br />The Village of Mayfield, case No. 2807, in the Lyndhurst Municipal Court, <br />upon payment by the Village of the sum of $750.00 and court costs. <br />Section 2. The Clerk-Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to <br />pay said amounts out of the General Fund of the Village, which funds are <br />hereby appropriated for said purpose. - "~ <br />Section 3. This Ordinance is hereby deemed to be an emergency <br />measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, <br />safety and welfare of the Village of Mayfield and its inhabitants for the <br />reason that the suit is for $10,000.00 and the trial is set for October 21, <br />1969, and it is therefore advantageous and necessary to complete the <br />settlement in order to avoid trial with its risks and further expense, and <br />this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of <br />its passage. <br />Passed this 20th day of October, 1969. <br />d~ ~ <br />~`. <br />~~ <br />' M~3COR-PRESIDENT OF COUNCIL <br />ATTEST: <br />(SEAL) CLERK-TREASURER <br />
