SCHPIIDT <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF LaTOUR OLDSMOBILE, ZNC., <br />FOR THE SALE OF A POLICE AUTOMOBILE TO THE VILLAGE OF HAYFIELD <br />WHEREAS, LaTour Oldsmobile, Inc., a responsible bidder, duly filed <br />its bid with the Clerk-Treasurer of the Village of Mayfield, in accordance <br />with law, offering to sell to the Village a new 1970 Oldsmobile four-door <br />Delta 88 sedan, model 5469, equipped in accordance with specifications, for <br />the sum of Three Thousand Three Hundred and Three Dollars and Eighty-Six Cents <br />($3,303.86), with an allowance of Five Hundred Fifty-Three Dollars and <br />Eighty-Six Cents ($553.86) for trade-in of a 1967 used Pontiac Catalina sedan <br />automobile now used by the Village Police Department., and said bid is in <br />accordance with the specifications established in connection with the Notice <br />for Bids; and <br />WHEREAS, said bid of LaTour Oldsmobile, Inc., is the lowest and best <br />bid submitted; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, Be It Ordained by the Council of the Village of <br />Mayfield, Cuyahoga County, Ohio, that: <br />Section.l. The bid of LaTour Oldsmobile, Inc., offering to sell to <br />the Village of Mayfield a neca 1970 Oldsmobile four-door Delta 88 sedan, model <br />5469, and equipment as described in its bid submitted in response to the <br />advertisement for bids, for the sum of Three Thousand Three Hundred Three <br />Dollars and Eighty-Six Cents ($3,303.86), and title charges, with an allowance <br />of Five Hundred Fifty-Three Dollars and Eighty-Six Cents ($553.86) as a trade- <br />in for the 1967 Pontiac Catalina sedan automobile now used by the Village <br />Police Department, be, and the same is hereby accepted. <br />Section 2. The Mayor and the Clerk-Treasurer of the Village are <br />hereby authorized and empowered to execute all such documents and to do all <br />things necessary to carry out the provisions of this Ordinance. <br />Section 3. This Ordinance is deemed to be an emergency measure, <br />necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety <br />and welfare of the Village of Mayfield and its inhabitants, in order to obtain <br />as soon as economically possible better police protection through more <br />efficient equipment, and the said Ordinance shall go into effect and be <br />enforced immediately upon the date of its passage. <br />Passed this 15th day of December, 1969. d <br />4 <br />~. <br />~ MAYOI~`PRES~"EN OF COUNCIL <br />ATTEST: ~~"" <br />(SEAL) ' CLERK- EASURER <br />
