<br />ORDINANCE N0, ;']Q-1 <br />BY: MR. DAVIS <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING SETTLEMENT OF CLAIMS <br />AGAINST HOME INSURANCE COMPANY OF NEW YORK FOR <br />DAMAGE BY FIRE TO VILLAGE HALL AND CONTENTS <br />Be It Ordained by the Council of the Village of Mayfield, County <br />of Cuyahoga, State of Ohio, that: <br />Section 1. Council hereby authorizes and approves the settlement <br />of all claims of the Village of Mayfield against Home Insurance Company of <br />New York for damage caused by fire to the Village Hall and contents occurring <br />on or about October 9, 1969, for the total sum of $47,880.04, which is made <br />up of the following items: <br />(a) Claim under Policy No. F-789078 $42,227.04 <br />(b) Policy No. SP-492771 (Scheduled <br />Personal Property Items). $ 5,653.00 <br />Section 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to sign such Proof of <br />Loss and Releases as may be required in order to collect said sums of money. <br />Section 3. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, <br />safety and welfare of the Village of Payfield and its inhabitants for the <br />reason that it is necessary to collect the aforesaid funds as soon as possible <br />in order to replace policy and other equipment necessary for the operations <br />of the Village and this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and <br />after the date of its passage. <br />Passed this 6ty,day of January, 1970. <br />r <br />MAYOR-PRESI•DEN OF COUNCIL <br />ATTEST: i` <br />//1^~ <br />(SEAL)S-~ CLERK-TRE URER <br />
