ORDINANCE N0. 70- 13 <br />BY: DD2. Davis <br />AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 18.1 OF ORDINANCE N0. <br />309, BEING AN ORDINANCE TO REGULATE TRAFFIC ON THE <br />STREETS AND PUBLIC HIGHWAYS OF THE VILLAGE OF <br />HAYFIELD, PERTAINING TO RECKLESS DRIVING OFF <br />STREETS AND HIGHWAYS. <br />Be It Ordained by the Council of the Village of Mayfield, Cuyahoga County, <br />Ohio, that: <br />Section 1. Section 18.1 of Ordinance No. 309, being an Ordinance to <br />regulate traffic on the streets and public highways of the Village of Mayfield, as <br />amended by Ordinance No. 862, is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />"Section 18.1 Reckless Operation Off Streets and Highways <br />No person shall operate a vehicle on any public or <br />private property other than streets or highways, without <br />due regard for the safety of persons or property. This <br />section does not apply to the competitive operation of <br />vehicles on public or private property when the owner of <br />such property knowingly permits such operation thereon." <br />Section 2. Existing Section 18.1 of Ordinance No. 309, as amended by <br />Ordinance No. 862, is hereby repealed as of the effective date of this Ordinance, <br />but in all other respects said Ordinance No. 309 as amended shall remain in full <br />force and effect. <br />Section 3. This Ordinance is hereby deemed to be an emergency measure, <br />necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and <br />welfare of the Village of Mayfield and its inhabitants and for the further reason <br />that it is necessary to make the section of the traffic ordinance pertaining to <br />reckless operation of vehicles consistent withthe existing state law, and this <br />Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its <br />passage. ~b ~ (-~(~ <br />Passed this 16th day of February 1970. <br />i <br />/,~I/y <br />~4YOR,P SIDENT OF COUNCIL <br />ATTEST: <br />!G <br />(SEAL) CLERK-TREASURER <br />
