ORDINANCE N0. 70-23 <br />BY: PIR. FITZ GERALD <br />AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR AN AGREEMENT WITH <br />THE VILLAGE OF PEPPER PIKE FOR A POLICE <br />MUTUAL AID <br />Be It Ordained by the Council of the Village of Payfield, Cuyahoga <br />County, Ohio, that: <br />Section '1. The Mayor and Clerk-Treasurer of the Village of Mayfield, <br />Ohio, are hereby authorized and directed to enter into an agreement wi t'i the <br />Village of Pepper Pike, whereby each municipality agrees with the other municipality <br />to the agreement whatever necessary and practicable to render police protection <br />in case of emergency temporarily to augment the police facilities of the other <br />party or parties. <br />Section"2. Such agreement shall be for a period of three years, but <br />shall be automatically renewed from year to year unless otherwise terminated as <br />provided therein; provided, however, that such agreement may be terminated by <br />either party upon 30 days written notice. <br />Section"3. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and <br />welfare of the Village of Mayfield and its inhabitants in order to provide better <br />police protection and shall go into effect and be in force as an emergency measure <br />from and after the date of its passage. <br />Passed this 18th day of May, 1970. <br />YOR-PRESIDENT OF COUNCIL <br />ATT ST: ~ <br />i <br />(SEAL) CLERK-TREASURER <br /> <br />
