ORDINANCE N0. 70-~ <br />gy; Mg, Leech <br />AN ORDINANCE TO CREATE THE VILLAGE OF HAYFIELD <br />PETTY CASH FOND AND TO REPEAL ORDINANCE NOS. 938, <br />1026, 1027, 69-17, 69-24, RESOLDTION N0. 264, AND <br />ALL OTHER ORDINANCES AND RESOLOTIONS IN CONFLICP <br />HEREWITH. <br />WHEREAS, numerous petty cash funds have been es tbblished for various <br />departments of the Village of Hayfield in the past and it is desirable to abolish <br />all of said funds and to consolidate them into one petty cash fund. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, Be It Ordained by the Council of the Village of Mayfield, <br />Cuyahoga County, Ohio, that: <br />Section 1. There is hereby created the Village of Hayfield Petty Cash <br />Fund to be in charge of the Clerk of the Mayor's Court. <br />Section 2. There shall.'. be paid from the General Fund the sum of <br />$100.00 into the Village of Mayfield Petty Cash Fuad,and from said Petty Cash <br />Fund. the Clerk of the Mayoz's.Court shall be authorized to pay emergency expenses <br />of the various departments of the Village of Mayfield, which, while within the <br />general scope of expenses authorized by current appropriation ordinances, have <br />not been specifically authorized, payment for which cannot be postponed until the <br />next meeting of Council. The Clerk of the Mayor's Court shall take a receipt for <br />such payments and shall present them at the next meeting of the Council, and, if <br />Council approves such payments, it shall order the reimbursement of said Petty Cash <br />Fund to the extent of such payments, so that there shall generally be the sum of <br />$100.00 available after each Council meeting for use until the next Council meeting. <br />Section 3. All other petty cash funds hitherto existing in the Village <br />of Mayfield are hereby abolished and any remaining balances therein shall be paid <br />to the Clerk-Treasurer for credit to the General Fund. <br />Section 4. Existing Ordinance. Nos. 938, 1026, 1027, 69-17, 69-24, <br />Resolution No. 264, and all other Resolutions and Ordinances previously establishing <br />petty cash funds are hereby repealed as of the effective date of this Ordinance. <br />Section 5. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergeacy measure, . <br />necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and <br />welfare of the Village of Mayfield and its inhabitants, in order to secure as soon <br />as possible in compliance with law•the expeditious operation of the various <br />departments of the Village and shall go into effect and be in force immediately <br />upon the date of its passage.
