<br />ORDINANCE N0. 70- 33 <br />gy; ZgR.Fitz-Gerald <br />AN ORDINANCE CREATING THE POSITION OF RECORDING. <br />SECRETARY. <br />a <br />Be It Ordained by the Council of the Village of Mayfield, Cuyahoga <br />County, Ohio, that: <br />' Section 1. There is hereby created the position of Recording Secretary, <br />whose duties shall be to take and record the minutes of meetings of the Council, <br />the Planning and Zoning Commission, the Safety and Service Committee, and such <br />o-they committees to which she may be assigned by the Piayor. The Recording <br />Secretary shall be appointed by the Mayor with the consent of Council and shall <br />hold office until removed by the Pfayor. <br />Section 2. The Recording Secretary shall be paid at the rate of $2.50 <br />per hour, but said compensation may be changed by Council at any time by <br />resolution or ordinance. <br />Section 3. Council hereby ratifies and confirms the action of the <br />Mayor in appointing Virginia Freas as Recording Secretary and the payment to <br />her of $2.50 per hour for her services as such from and after May 1, 1970.., <br />Section 4. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, <br />safety and welfare of the Village of Mayfield and its inhabitants for the reason <br />that it is necessary to obtain assistance immediately and to continue to retain <br />the same in order properly to record the minutes of Council and the other units <br />of the Village government hereinabove designated, and said Ordinance shall be in <br />full force and effect from and after the date of its passage. <br />Passed this 20th day of July 1970. <br />• ~~ <br />MAYO -PRESYI)EN' OF COUNCIL <br />ATTEST: / <br />(SEAL) CLERK-T ASURER <br />
