ORDINANCE N0. 70-48 <br />BY: MR. SCHMIDT <br />AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THROWING OR PROPELLING <br />OF STONES, ROCKS, OR OTHER HARD SUBSTANCES AT <br />OR TOWARD ANY VILLAGE OF HAYFIELD OR SCHOOL <br />VEHICLE, EQUIPMENT, BUILDING, OR PROPERTY, OR <br />AT ANY VILLAGE EMPLOYEE, AND PRESCRIBING A <br />PENALTY THEREFOR. <br />Be It Ordained by the Council of the Village of Mayfield, <br />Cuyahoga County, Ohio, that': <br />Section 1. It shall be unlawful for any person to throw or <br />by any other means propel a stone, rock or other hard substance at or <br />toward any vehicle, equipment, building or property owned or operated <br />by the Village of Mayfield, or at or toward any school bus, school <br />vehicle, or school building, or at or toward any member of the Police <br />Department, Fire Department, Service Department or any other employee <br />of the Village of Mayfield. <br />Section 2. Any person violating any provision of this <br />Ordinance sia a guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof, <br />shall be fined not more than $500.00 or be imprisoned not more than <br />six months or both. <br />Section 3. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure, necessary for the immediate preservation of the <br />public peace, health, safety and welfare of the Village of Mayfield <br />and its inhabitants, in order to safeguard life and limb of Village <br />and school employees and Village and school property, and this <br />Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date <br />of its passage. <br />Passed this 16th day of November, 1970. <br />-.~" ~, <br />'YOR ~PRESI NT 0 COUNCIL <br />ATTEST: <br />~-~ <br />CLERK - T URER <br />(SEAL) <br />
