<br />ORDINANCE N0. 70- 49 <br />BY: MR. SCHMIDT <br />AN ORDINANCE MAKING IT UNLAWFUL TO DESTROY, <br />INJURE OR DEFACE OR TO DISCHARGE A FIREARM <br />AT OR TOWARD ANY VEHICLE, EQUIPMENT, PROPERTY <br />OR BUILDING OF TAE VILLAGE OF HAYFIELD OR <br />THE PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM, AND PRESCRIBING A <br />PENALTY THEREFOR. <br />Be It Ordained by the Council of the Village of Mayfield, Cuyahoga County, <br />Ohio, that: <br />Section 1. It shall be unlawful for any person to willfully or maliciously <br />destroy, injure or deface or attempt to destroy, injure or deface or to discharge a <br />firearm at or toward any vehicle, equipment, property or building owned or operated <br />by the Village of Mayfield or the public school system. <br />Section 2. Any person violating any provision of this Ordinance shall be <br />guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined not more than <br />$500.00 or imprisoned not more than six months or both. <br />Section 3. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and <br />welfare, in order to safeguard the property of the Village of Mayfield and the <br />public school system, and said Ordinance shall be in full force and effect the <br />earliest period permitted by law. <br />Passed this 16th day of November 1970. <br />,F:1 -~ <br />~~~ ~, ~-- <br />ATTEST: ~~ ~ OR-PRESIDENT OF COUNCIL <br />~- <br />(SEAL) CLE TREASURER <br />
