ORDINANCE N0. 70-53 <br />BY: MR. LEECH <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING TkIE BID OF SEUFFERT CONSTRUCTION <br />CO. FOR THE GENERAL TRADES NORK IN ODNNECTION S,1ITH THE <br />RECONSTRUCTION OF THE VILLAGE HALL <br />SdHEREAS, advertisement for bids has been published according to law for <br />the general trades work in connection with the reconstruction of the Village Hall, <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the bid of Seuffert Construction Co „ a responsible bidder, <br />in the amount of Sixty-Eight Thousand Six Hundred Dollars ($68,600.00), is the <br />lowest and best bid submitted. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, Be It Ordained by the Council of the Village of Mayfield, <br />Cuyahoga County, Ohio, that: <br />Section 1. The bid of Seuffert Construction Co. in the amount of Sixty- <br />Eight Thousand Six Hundred Dollars ($68,600.00) for the general trades work in <br />connection with the reconstruction of: the Village Hall building, is hereby accepted, <br />and the Mayor and Clerk-Treasurer are hereby authorized and directed to enter into <br />a contract in writing with said bidder for such purpose, in accordance with the <br />advertised specifications and the bid submitted. <br />Section 2. Said sum of Sixty-Eight Thousand Six Hundred Dollars <br />($68,600.00) is hereby appropriated for said purpose. <br />Section 3. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure, <br />necessary for the immediate preservation of the public health, peace, safety and <br />welfare of the Village of Mayfield and its inhabitants because it is necessary to <br />provide housing for the Village operations, and said Ordinance shall be in full <br />force and effect from and after the date of its passage. <br />Passed this 21st day of December, 1970. <br />:> mss` .,•-- <br />v PfAYOR-PRESIDENT OF COUNCIL <br />ATTEST: ~ <br />NV ~/ y/ i'N'~/ <br />(SEAL) CLERK-TREASURER <br /> <br />
