SCHb1IDT <br />AN ORDINANCE APSENDING SECTION 1 OF ORDINANCE N0, 788, <br />ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING A FIRE PREVENTION <br />CODE, PRESCRIBING REGULATIONS GOVERNING CONDITIONS <br />HAZARDOUS TO LIFE LuvD PROPERTY FROM FIRE OR EXPLOSION, <br />AND ESTABLISHING A BUREAU OF FIRE PREVENTION AND <br />PROVIDING OFFICERS THEREFOR AND DEFINING THEIR POWERS <br />AND DUTIES", AS APSENDED BY ORDINANCE N0. 893, BY <br />ADOPTING THE 1900 FIRE PREVENTION CODE. <br />Be It Ordained by the Council of the Village of Mayfield, Cuyahoga <br />County, Ohio, that: <br />Section 1. Section 1 of Ordinance No. 788, entitled: "An Ordinance <br />Adopting a Fire Prevention Code, Prescribing Regulations Governing Conditions <br />Hazardous to Life and Property from Fire or Explosion, and Establishing a Bureau <br />of Fire Prevention and Providing Officers Therefor and Defining Their Powers and <br />Duties", as amended by Ordinance No. 893, is hereby amended to read as follocas: <br />"Section 1. There is hereby adapted by the Council of <br />the Village of Mayfield, Ohio, that certain Code known <br />as the Fire Prevention Code recommended by the National <br />Board of Fire Undenariters, being particularly the 1970 <br />edition thereof and the whole thereof, save and except <br />such portions as are hereinafter deleted, modified or <br />amended, the purpose of which code is to prescribe <br />regulations governing conditions hazardous to life and <br />property from fire or explosion, and the said code is <br />hereby adopted and incorporated herein as fully as if <br />set out at length herein, and from the date on which this <br />ordinance shall take effect, the provisions thereof shall <br />be controlling within the limits of the Village of <br />Mayfield, Ohio. A complete copy of such code is now <br />on file with the Clerk-Treasurer of the Village of <br />Payfield for inspection by the public and also on file <br />in the Law Library of Cuyahoga County, Ohio, and the <br />Clerk-Treasurer has copies thereof available for <br />distribution to the public at cost." <br />Section 2. Existing Section 1 of said Ordinance No. 788, as amended <br />by Ordinance No. 893, is hereby repealed as of the date of the effective date <br />of this Ordinance. <br />Section 3. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health, <br />
