OF THfi VILZAGE OF MAYFIELD, OHIO, THAT: <br />Sec. 1. The Mayor and the Clerk are hereby authorized ott behalf <br />of the Village of Mayfield, to enter into an agreement in writing with <br />Martha Wiece for telephone answering service for a period of one year <br />beginning D1ay 1, 1965, and continuing from year to year thereafter <br />unless sooner teLminated by either party upon 30 days` written notice. <br />Said p,greement is to provide that said Martha Wiece will at her home <br />at No. 471 Miner Road, on equipment to be furnished by the Ohio Bell <br />Telephone Company, answer all telephone calls not otherwise answered <br />at the Village Hall on all of the Village telephone lines, including <br />its Police Department and Fire Department, and take the messages and <br />give them to the proper persons, that she will transmit all emergency <br />telephone calls o£ the Village of Mayfield Police Department to the <br />Police Department of the City of University Heights, and that she will. <br />cooperate with the Ohio Bell Telephone Company in relaying Fire Department <br />calls of the Village. Eor this service she shall be paid the sum of <br />$90,00 per month, beginning as of May 1, 1965. <br />Sec. 2. The Mayor and the Clerk are authorized to talce such <br />steps as may be necessary to the execution of said contract. <br />Sec. 3. This Ordinance is deemed to be att emergency measure, <br />necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, <br />safety and welfare of the Village of Mayfield and its inhabitants, in <br />order to provide better service in the Police, Fire and Service <br />Departments, and shall take effect and be in force from and after the <br />date of its passage. <br />Passed this 19th day of April, 1965. <br />Attest : <br />Mayor - President of Council <br />CSEAL) k ? <br />?L <br />f;D\
