Ordinance No. 886 By Mr. Sloan AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF ORDINANCE N0. 298, AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE No. 881, BY PROVIDING FOR PAYMENT,OF HOSPITALIZATION INSURANCE FOR THE BUILDING INSPECTOR_AND SERVTCP DIRECTOR AND HIS ASSISTANT.,. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCII, OF THE VII.T.AGE OF MAYFIELD, CUYAHOGA COUNTY OHIO, THAT: Sgc. 1. Section 3 of Ordinance No. 298, entitled: "An Ordinance Combining the Position of Building Inspector, Maintenance Supervisor of Sewer Pumps, Custodiatt of the Village Hall, and School Guard, under the Title of 'Building Inspector and Service Director' "as Amended by Ordinances Nos. 697,731, 756, 765, 794, 849, and 881, is Hereby amended to Read as Follows: . "Sec. 3. The compensation of the Building Inspector S. Service Director shall be at the rate of $4,498.00 per year, and at the rate ? of $2.90 for each hour in excess of 44 per week, but may be changed from time to time by Council by Ordinance or Resolution. An Assistant Building Inspector & Service Director, whose duties shall ; be to assist the Building Inspector & Service Director, shall be ! appointed by the Building Inspector & Service Director, subject to ? confirmation by vote of Council, and shall serve until removed by the Building Ittspector & Service Director, and shall be compensated i ? at the rate of $5,500.00 per year, but his compensation may be changed from time to time by Council by ordinance or resolution. ' The Assistant Building Inspector & Service Director shall also be paid the sum of $2.40 for each hour worked in excess of 44 hours in any one week.. Beginning with the mottth oE May, 1965, the i Village shall also.pay to Blue Cross of Northeast Ohio, Inc. the premiums for hospitalization and medical mutual insurance ( now costing approximately $21.40 per month) for the Building Inspector I and Servi.ce Director and the Assistant Building Ipspector and ? Service Director. The compensation of skilled laborers and other ? employees to assist.the Building Inspector & Service Director, except for the Clerk whose compensation is fixed by another ordinance, ? shall be at the rate of $1.85 per hour. Persons designated by the I Building Inspector & Seryice Director as unskilled employees in the ? Service Department shall be compensated at the rate of $1.25 per ; hour. All permit fees shall be paid into the Village Treasury." Sec. 2. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety 1?
