9 e/ <br />- 2 - <br />during which he serves on such an assignment by the Mayor or <br />Chief of Police. The total number of hours to be served by all <br />Special Policemen during any one week shall not exceed 64, but <br />Council may change the maximum number of hours at any time by <br />ordinance or resolution. Providedl however, that the Mayor at his <br />discretion may authorize the employment of Special Policemen after <br />their regular working hours, at the rate of $2.10 per hour, for <br />the purpose of service summons and notices upon and arresting <br />persons within and outside of the Village of ?dayfield who have <br />failed to appear in the Mayor's Court of this.Village in response <br />to any warrants, summons or arrest notice, or orders of the Mayor. <br />Special ar,rangements may be made by Council with"Special Police- <br />men whereby they shall not be paid for police services performed <br />in connection with the operation of their own businesses or of <br />Uniform Allowance: <br />In addition to their regular compensation each regular member <br />of the Police Department shall be reimbursed for the cost of <br />uniforms purchased by him for use in his police work; <br />provided, however, that such reimbursement shall not exceed the <br />sum of $100.00 per year and must be supported by bills showing <br />the cost of same. In addition, each Special Policeman shall be <br />likewise so reimbursed, except that his maximum allowance for <br />uniforms shall be $50.00 per year. <br />Hospitalization'In'surance: <br />In addition to their regular compensation, beg3nning with the <br />month of May, 1965, the Village shall pay to Blue Cross of <br />Northeast Ohio, Inc., the cost of hospitalization medical mutual <br />insurance?(now costing approximately $21.40 per month) for each <br />regular member of the Police Department." - <br />Sec. 2. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure, necessary for the immediate preservation of the <br />public peace, health, safety, and welfare of the Village of Mayfield <br />and its inhabitants, because of the necessity of providing the <br />maximum police protection within the limits of the funds available <br />for that purpose, and this Ordinance shall take effect and be in <br />force from and after the date of its passage. <br />Passed this 21st day of June, 1965. <br />?? oy r Z r si'?e?r (.nci? <br />Attest: <br />11 u.ta) ? ? r ?
