ORDINANCE No. 907 <br />ByMr. Sloan <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING PAYMENT OF ONE-FOURTH OF THE <br />COST 0$ INSTALLATI0kq AND MAINTENANCE OF A,STREET_TF2AFFIC <br />I.IGHT AT.THE INTE$SECTIQN" OF L6NDER ROAD AND RII7GfiBURX., <br />BOUT+EVAI2D. . _ _ . _ . . . . - - - .. .. . . • ^. _ .. _ . <br />WHERRlIS, the intersection of Lander Road and Ridgebury Boulevard is <br />partially j.? each of the Municipalities of the City of Mayfield Heights and <br />the Villages of Highland Heights and Mayfield; and <br />WRE[tEAS, this is a heavily'traveled intersection and undoubtedly <br />will become more so as time goes on; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Mayfield Heights has advertised for-:bids.,Eor the <br />installation of a street traffic light at said intersection. <br />NOW THEREPORE BE IT RESOI.VED BY THE COUNCIL OF TfiE VILLAGE OF MAYFIELD <br />OHIO, '1'HAT:, -- - - - -. . _ - _ .. - • _ _ .. .._ .. - . . - .. _ . . , . - _ - - <br />Sec. 1. The Village of Mayfield agrees to pay one-fourth of the cost <br />o£ the installation and maintenance of a street traffic light at the inter- <br />section of I.ander Road and Ridgebury Boulevard, providing that the balance of <br />such cost is paid by the City of May£ield Heights and the Village of Highland <br />Heights. <br />Sec. 2. A sWn sufficient for the purpose set forth in Section 1 <br />hereof is hereby appropriated from the Gasoline and Street Maintenance and <br />Repair Eunds of the Village of Mayfield., <br />Sec. 3. The Clerk is authorized to transmiC certified copies of <br />this ordinance, if necessary, to the City of Mayfield Heights and the Village <br />of Highland Heights. <br />Sec. 4. This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure, <br />necessaryfor the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, saEety <br />and welfare of the Village of Mayfield and its inhabitants, and for the further <br />reason that a traffic light is needed as soon as possible at the above mentioned <br />intersection to protect life, limb and property, and this ordinance shall be <br />in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage. <br />Passed this 16th day of August, 1965. <br />Attest: <br />Mayor - President of Council <br />? n?Lt?lY'? ? , lerk <br />(SEAL) <br />, _-- S
