ORDINANCE No. 914 <br />By Mr. Belzer <br />,SN ORDZNEINCE TO PURCHASE A NEW POLICE AUTODIOBILL <br />FR0iA 11EWMAN PONTIAC, ING. <br />WHE[tEAS, Newman Pontiac, Inc., a responsible bidder, duly filed its <br />bid with the Clerk of the Village of Mayfield, in accordance with law, offering <br />to sell to the Village a new 1966 Pontiac automobile for police purposes, <br />according to the specifications on file in the office of the Clerk for the sum <br />of $2,913.00, and to purchase from the Village a 1964 Pontiac Four-Door Sedatt <br />automobile for the sum of $913.00, the balance of $2,000.00 to.be paid by the <br />Village in cash, which bid.in aacordance.with the advertisement for bids published <br />by the Clerk; and <br />WHEREAS, the said bid of Newman Pontiac, Inc. is the lowest and best bid <br />submitted. <br />NOiq THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OE MAYFIELD, <br />CUYAHOGA COUNTY,,OHIO,, THAT: _ , . ....... - _ . -_ _ ? _ - <br />Sec. 1. The bid of Newman Pontiac, Inc., offering to sell to the Village <br />of riayfield a new 1966 Pontiac, Four-Door Sedan automobile to be used for police <br />purposes, according to the specifications on file in the office of the Clerk in <br />cottnection with the advertisement for bids, for the sum of $2,913.00, of which <br />$2,000.00 is to be paid by the Village in cash and the balance of $913.00 by <br />transferring to said Newman Pontiac, Inc. title to the 1964 Pontiac Four-Door <br />Sedan automobile now used by the Village Police Department, be and the same is <br />hereby accepted. <br />Sec. 2. The Mayor and the Clerk of the Village are hezeby authorized <br />and empowered to execute all such documents and do all things necessary to carry <br />out the provisions of this ordinance.. <br />Sec. 3. This ordinance is deemed to be att emergency measure, necessary <br />for the immediate preservatiott of the public peace, health, safety and welfare <br />of the Village oE Mayfield and its inhabitants in order to obtain as soon as <br />economically possible better police protection through more efficient equipment <br />and the said ordinance shall go into effect and be in force imciediately upon <br />the date of its passage. <br />Passed this 15th day of Nouember, 1965. <br />Attest: <br />Mayor - President of Council <br />(EAL) ?
