ORDINANCE No. 917 <br />By Mr. Belzer <br />AIV ORDINANCE ACCEETING TNE BID OF QUIGLEY DISPOSAT,, <br />INC. $OR GARBAGE AND BUBBISH.PICK-UP.AND DISPOSAL_ <br />WHEREAS, the Clerk has advertised according to law for bids for garbage <br />and rubbish pick-up and disposal; and <br />WHEREAS, Quigley Disposal, Inc., a responsible bidder, duly filed with <br />the Clerk the lowest and_best bid.. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCZI, OF THE VILZAGE OF MAYFIII.D, <br />CUYAHOGA COUNTY, , OHIO., THAT: <br />Sec. 1. The bid of Quigley Disposal, Inc. for garbage and rubbish <br />pick-up and disposal is hereby accepted in the manner hereinaf?er set forth <br />in Section 2 of this Ordinance. <br />Sec. 2. The Mayor and the Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into <br />an Agreement, on behalf of the Village of Mayfield, with Quigley Disposal, Inc., <br />incorporating the terms of its bid, with provision, among other things, for.the <br />pick-up of all garbage, rubbish and other waste from all places of residence <br />and business in the oillage of Mayfield, for the months of September, October <br />and November, 1965, at a price of $695.00 per month, and for the period of <br />twenty-one montha thereafter at a price of $645.00 per month, during which <br />period of twenty-one months said Quigley Disposal, Znc. shall pick up garbage, <br />rubbish and waste from the residential sections of the Village only, and not <br />from the business section of the Village. Said garbage, rubbish and other <br />waste shall be hauled to the disposal site maintained by Quigley Disposal, Inc. <br />in Lake County, Ohio. Said pgreement shall incorporate all other,provisions <br />of the bid attd the general specifications on file with the Clerk in conttection <br />therewith. <br />Sec. 3. This ordinance is hereby determined to be an emergency measure, <br />necessary for the immediate preservation of the public health, peace, safety <br />and welfare of the Village of Mayfield and its inhabitants, so that garbage, <br />rubbish and othes waste material, cottstituting a menace to health, may be <br />disposed of without any interruption caused by the failure to have an agreement <br />with a person competent to perform such necessary services, and said ordinance <br />shall be in force and effect Erom and aEter the date of its passage. <br />Passed this 15th day of November, 1965. <br />Attest: <br />?
