ORDINANCT No. 923 <br />By Mr. Mason <br />AN ORDINANCE CREATING THE POSITION OF <br />_. BUIZDING INSPECTOR . <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCII, OF THE VILI,AGE OF MAYFIELD, CUYAHOGA COUNTY <br />OHIO, THAT: <br />Sec. 1. There is hereby created the position of Building Inspector <br />who shall be appointed by the Mayor by and with the consent of Copncil and <br />shall hold office at the pleasure of the Mayor. <br />Sec. 2. The Building Inspector shall prepare all Building Pexmits <br />and Certificates required by the Ordinances of the Village of Mayfield, <br />collect the permit fees provided by law, giving receipts therefor and paying <br />same into the Village treasury, make inspections of buildings and alterations, <br />report violations of the Building Codes to the Mayor, and assist in the <br />enforcement of the Building Codes, and to perform all duties assigned to the <br />building official under the Building Codes. <br />Sec. 3. The compensation of the Building Inspector shall be $2.75 <br />per hour but may be changed at any time by Council. The Village shall also pay the <br />Building Inspector's premiums to Blue Cross for hospitalization and medical insurance. <br />Sec. k. The Building Inspector shall give bond in the sum of $100.00 <br />with sufficient surety to be approved by the Mayor. <br />Sec. 5. Ordinance No. 298, as amended, and all Ordinances prior <br />hereto which are inconsistent herewith, are hereby repealed. <br />Sec. 6. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergettcy <br />measure, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, <br />safety and welfare of the Village of Mayfield and its inhabitants, in order <br />to obtain the necessary services of a Building Inspector, and this Ordinance <br />shall take effect and be in force from,and after the date of its passage. <br />Passed this 3rd day.of January, 1966. <br />Attest; a? o,.,,..,.J^- <br />?
