ORDINANCE No. 924 <br />By Mr. Shaw <br />AlV ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CLERK-TREASURER TO EMPI,OY <br />AN ASSISTANT AT,$2.50.PER,FIOUR_?URING_THE FIRST SIX, <br />N10NTHS.OF 1966_ . _ . _ _ _ <br />WHEREAS, the office of Clerk and Treasurer have beett combined to that <br />of Clerk-Treasurer and the a:neumbent of that combined office may require <br />assistance during the first six months of his office when numerous reports <br />pertaining both to the old o£fices and to the new combined office must be <br />prepared; and <br />WHEREAS, the effective operation of the Village business requires that <br />the Clerk-Treasurer be empocuered to employ an Assistant in the performance of <br />his duties,during his initial six months in office. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILI,AGE OF MAYFIELD, <br />CUYAHOGA COfJNTY, OHIO, THAT: <br />Sec. 1. The Clerk-Treasurer is hereby authorized during the first six <br />months of the year 1966 to employ an Assistant to aid in the performance of <br />his duties. Such Assistant shall work only at such time as directed by the <br />Clerk-Treasurer and shall be compensated at the rate of $2.50 per hour. <br />Sec. 2. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />ttecessary fot the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety <br />and welfare of the Village of Piayfield and its inhabitants £or the reason <br />that the smooth operation of the business of the Village depends upon the <br />Clerk-Treasurerts having assistance at the beginning of his term o£ office <br />and said Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from attd after the date <br />of its passage. <br />Passed this 3rd day of January, 1966. <br />Attest: <br />Mayor - President of Council <br />SE/J.)
