(o) Fee for Setting Grade <br />Whenever the Building Inspector is in doubt concerning <br />the setting of the grade for any construction, he shall <br />have the right to require the owner or appropriate permit <br />holder to deposit the sum of $25,00 with the Clerk, which <br />sum shall go into the general.fund of the Village, and in <br />such case to call upon the Village Engineer to set the <br />grade, and the Village Engineer shall be paid the sum of <br />$25.00 from the general fund of the Village for such • <br />service in each instance. <br />(p) In addition to the permit and license fees specified in <br />this ordinance, the following fees shall be charged to <br />the holder of the permit coveriRg the particular kittd of <br />work to be inspected for any additional inspections made <br />by the Building Inspector or any of his assistants, in <br />order to secure compliance with the ordinattces of the <br />Village of Mayfield governing construction, alteration, <br />additions to, demolition or removal of buildings and parts <br />thereof ; <br />First additional inspectiott $ 3.00 <br />Subsequent inspections 5.00 ea. <br />Sec. 2. Any person, firm or corporation obtaining a permit to construct <br />a new building shall at the time of issuance thereof deposit with the Buildittg <br />Inspector the sum of $500.00 in case of a single or two-family dwelling house, <br />or a commercial or industrial building, and $25.00 per dwelling unit ( but not <br />more than $500.00 per building) in case of an apartment building of any kind, <br />which sum shall be paid ittto the Treasury of the Village. The amount of said <br />cash deposit shall be returned by,the Clerk to the permit holder when the building <br />has been approved on final inspection. Provided, however, that if in the process <br />of such construction any damage has been done by the permit tiolder or any of his <br />contractors, sub-contractors, agents or employees, or others under his control, <br />to the public highways or other public property or the property of other persotts, <br />the amount of such damage as calculated by the Building Inspector, together with <br />any unpaid permit or inspeetion fees, shall be deducted from the amount of such deposit to be returned. Provided, however, that the insufficiency of such deposit to compen- <br />sate for any such damage shall not relieve the permit holder or anyone else from . <br />liability for payment of any excess. ' <br />Sec. 3. Existing Ordinance No. 826 is hereby repealed as of the effective <br />date of this ordinance. <br />
