Ordinance No. 935 By Mr. Shaw ,AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 111 OF ORDINANCE N0. 309, THE TRAFFIC ORDINANCE, RELATING TO FINES, PENALTIES ANDWAIVE$S BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VI7S,AGE OE MAYFIEI.D, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OHIO, TNAT:..- Sec. 1. Section 111 of Ordinance No. 309 entitled: "An Ordinance to Regulate Traffic on the Streets and Public Highways of the Village of hfayfield, and ILgpealing Ordinances Nos. 5, 55,, 90 and,307" is hereby amended to read as follows: . "Sec. 111. Fittes, Penalties and Waivers. "(a) It is a misdemeanor for any person to violate any of the proyisions of this ordinance unless such violation is by this ordinance or other law of this state declared to be a felony. "Cb) Every person convicted or found guilty of a misdemeanor for a yiolation of any of the provisions of this ordinance for which another penalty is not provided shall be fined not more than $500.00 or imprisoned in the Couttty Jail, Municipal Jail, or Workhouse for ttot more than six months, or,both. . . "Notwithstanding the provisions already set forth in this Section, any person who has violated any of the provisions set forth in Section 5, Sectio¢s 53 to 59, Sections 76 to 90, both inclusive, or Section 103-a, and who has received notice to appear in answer to such violation ( other than an arrest warrant) upon filing personally with the Mayor a written plea of guilty ( commottly known as a waiver) within forty-eight (48) hours after such notification, Sundays and_Holidays excepted, or withitt such additional period of time as may be found necessary by the Piayor, may, for such offense, pay a fine of One ($1.00) Dollar. Upon failure to appear itt response to such notice within such_time, a warrant may be issued for the arrest of the offender." Sec. 2. Ecisting Section 111 of said Ordinance No. 309 is hereby repealed as of the effective date of this ordinance.
