or orders of the Mayor. Special arrangements may be made by Council <br />with Special Policemen whereby they shall not be paid for police services <br />performed in connection with the operation of their own businesses or <br />of businesses for which they are compettsated by the owners thereof. <br />Uniform Allowance: <br />In addition to their regular compensation, each regular member oE the <br />Police Department shall be reimbursed for the cost of uniforms purchased <br />by him for use in his police work; provided, however, that such <br />reimbursement shall not exceed the sum of $125.00 per year and must be <br />supported by bills showing the cost of same. In addition, each Special <br />Policeman shall be likewise so reimbursed, except that his maximum <br />allowance for uniforms shall be $50.00 per year. <br />Hospitalization Insurance: <br />In addition to their regular compensation, the Village shall pay to <br />Blue Cross of Northeast Ohio, Inc, the cost of hospitalization medical <br />mutual insurance for each regular member of the Police Department. <br />Outside Enployment; <br />No regular member of the Police Department shall work at any other <br />employment unless he has the written approval of the Chief of Police, <br />who shall not grant such approval unless he finds that such outside <br />employment will not, due to the nature of the work and the hours to be <br />worked, interfere with the efficiency of said member of the Police <br />Departmettt. 11 <br />Sec. 2. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure, <br />necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety <br />and welfare of the Village of Mayfield and its inhabitants, because o£ the <br />necessity of providing the maximum police protection within the limits of the <br />funds available for that purpose, and this Ordinance shall take effect and <br />be in force from and after the date of its passage. <br />Passed this 18th day of April, 1966. <br />Attestc l1u? ? ?, <br />Mayor - President of Council <br />^4 ' <br />(gEAL) Clerk-Treasu r <br />
