FOR PICK UP AND DISPOSAL OF LEAVES, GRASS CLIPPINGS, <br />XARD,AND GARDIN RE$USE,_TREE BR?INCHES AND LIMBS,_AND <br />SIMZLAR_MEITERIAi,S FOR A PERIOp OF NINE (9) MONTNS AT <br />$100,00 PER MONTH. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCII. OF TNE VZLI.AGE OF MAYFIELD, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, <br />OHIO, THAT: <br />FTHEREAS, the present contract with Charles E. Shiffer, Jr. for garbage <br />and rubbish disposal does not require him to pick up leaves, grass clippings, <br />yard and garden refuse, tree branches and limbs and similar materials; and <br />WHEREAS, there is a need and de?nand for said pick up and disposal o£ <br />such materials in the residential districts and said Charles E. ShiEfer, Jr. <br />is willing to do so for a compensation of $100.00 per month. <br />NOSd THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CWNCII, OF THE VILI,AGE OF MAYFIII.D, <br />CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OHIO, THAT: <br />Sec. 1. The Mayorand Clerk-Treasurer are hereby authorized to enter <br />into an agreement in writing on behalf of the Village with Charles E. Shiffer, Jr. <br />requiring him for a period of nin2 months beginning as of October 1, 1966, to <br />pick up and dispose of leaves, grass clippings, yard and garden refuse, tree <br />branches and limbs ( if tied in bundles o£ not more than :5 feet in length each) <br />and similar materials from the residences in the Village of Mayfield, for a <br />compensation of $100.00 per month, which is hereby appropriated from the General <br />Fund. Such pick_up shall be made at such times and under such conditions, <br />includittg the right of cancellation, as are applicable_to the existing contract <br />between the Village and Charles E.Shiffer, Jr. for garbage and rubbish pick up. <br />Sec. 2. This Ordinance is hereby determined to be an emergency measure, <br />necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety <br />and welfare of the Village of Mayfield and its inhabitants, so that the materials <br />above described constitute a menace to safety, may be disposed of without inter- <br />ruption, and said ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after <br />the date of its passage. <br />Passed this 17th day of October, 1966. <br />Attest; ??„_ i.. ??a,n eti <br />Mayor - President o Council <br />(Seal) Clerk-Tr asurer
