ORDINANCE No. 978 <br />By Mr. Mason <br />,AN ORDINANCE TO PURCLIASfi A NE4l fiqJIPMENT TRUC[C FOR THE <br />FIRE DEPARIMENT FR@I BOB ERB FORD,_INC. <br />WHERF,AS,-BOB ERB FORD, INC., a responsible bidder, duly filed its bid <br />with the Clerk-Treasurer of the Village of MaYfield, in'accordance with law, <br />offerittg to sell to the Village a new 1967 Ford P 500 Equipment Truck, with <br />a Vanette Body, together with a 1,000 cubic_inch vacuum reserve tank which <br />ittcludes a vacuum gauge and a low vacuum warning light, in accordance with <br />the specifications on file in the office of the Clerk-Treasurer, for the total <br />sum of $4,421,15, in accordance with the advertisement for bids published by <br />the Clerk-Treasurer; and <br />1+1HEREAS, the said bid of Bob Erb Ford, Inc, is the lowest and best bid <br />submitted. _ <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDpINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF MAYEIELD$ <br />CUYAHOGA COUNTY_OHIO_, THAT: _ . , . .._ . _. <br />Sec. 1. The bid of Bob Erb Ford, Inc. offering to sell to the Village <br />a new 1967 Ford,P 500 Equipment Truck, with a Vanette Body, and a 1,000 cubic <br />inch vacuum reserve tank which includes vacuum gauge and low vacuum warning <br />light, according to the specifications on file with the office of the Clerk- <br />Treasurer in connection with the advertisement for bids, for the total sum of <br />$4,421.15, be attd the same hereby is accepted, and funds for such purpose are <br />hereby appropriated fran the General Fund. <br />Sec. 2. The Mayor and the Clerk-Treasurer of the Village are hereby <br />authorized and empowered to do all things necessary to cany out the provisions <br />of this ordinance and to execute all such documents necessary thereto. <br />Sec. 3. This ordinance is deemed to be an emergency measure necessary <br />for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare <br />of the Village of Mayfield and its inhabitants in order to obtain as soon as <br />possible better fire protection through more efficient equipment and said <br />ordiRance shall go into effect and be in force immediately upon the date of <br />its passage. <br />Passed this 21st day of November, 1966. , <br />Attest; <br />Mayor - President of C uncil ,?,v-Lqzl' ?
