on such an assignment by the Mayor or Chief of Police. The total number <br />of hours to be served by all Special Policemen during any one week shall <br />not exceed 64, but Council may change the maximum number of hours at atty <br />time by ordinance or resolution. Provided, however, that the Mayor at <br />his discretion may authorize the employment of Special Policemen after <br />their regular working hours, at the rate of $2.50 per hour, for the purpose <br />of service of stnnmons and notices upon and arresting persons within and <br />outside of the Village of rlayfield who have failed to appear in the Mayor?s <br />Court of this Village in respottse to any warrants, summons or arrest notice, <br />or orders of the Mayor. Special arrangements may be made by Council with <br />Special Policemen whereby they shall not be paid for police services <br />performed in connection with the operation of their own businesses or <br />of businesses for which they are compensated by the owners thereof/ <br />Uttiform Allowance: <br />In addition to their regular compensation, each regular member of the <br />Police Department shall be reimbursed for the cost of uniforms purchased <br />by him for use in his police work; provided, however, that such reimburse- <br />ment shall not exceed the sum of $175.00 per year and must be supported <br />by bills showing the cost of same. Itt addition, each Special Policeman <br />shall be likewise so reimbursed, except that his maximum allowattce for <br />uniforms shall be $50.00 per year. <br />Hospitalization Insurance: <br />In addition to their regular compensation, the Village shall pay to <br />Blue Cross of Northeast Ohio, Inc. the cost of hospitalization medical <br />mutual insurance for each regular member of the Police Department. <br />Outside Employment: <br />No regular member of the Police Department shall work at any other employmettt <br />unless he has the written approval of the Chief of Police, who shall not <br />grant such approval uttless he finds that such outside employment will not, <br />due to the ttature of the work and the hours to be worked, interfere with <br />the efficiency of said member of the Police Department." <br />Sec. 2.
