ORDINANCE No. 995 <br />'• By Mr. Walker <br />AN ORDINANCE TO PURCHASE A NES1 POLICE STATION WAGON <br />FRQVI NEF7NSAN PONTIAC,, INC. <br />WHEREAS, Newmatt Pontiac, Inc., a responsible bidder, daly filed its <br />bid with the Clerk-Treasurer of,the Village of Mayfield in accordance with <br />law, offering to sell to the Village a new 1967 Pontiac Catalina Station <br />Wagon, equipped according to the specifications on file itt the office of the <br />Clerk-Treasurer for the sum of $3,423.50, and to purchase from the Village a <br />used 1965 Pontiac Station Wagott currently being used by the Police Department <br />Eor the sum of $800.00, in accordance with the advertisement for bids published <br />by the Clerk-Treasurer; and <br />FhiEREAS, the said bid of Newmatt Pontiac, Ittc. is the lowest and best bid <br />submitted.. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VII,LAGE OF MAYFIELD, <br />CUYAHOGA COUNTY,OHIO, THAT: <br />Sec. 1. The bid of Newman Pontiac, Inc. offering to sell to the Village <br />of Mayfield a new 1967 Pontiac Catalina Statiott Wagon to be used for police <br />purposes, in accordance with the specifications on file in the office of the <br />Clerk-Treasurer in connection with the advertisement for bids, for the total <br />sum of.$3,423.50, of which $800.00 is to be paid by the Village by transferring <br />title to said Newman Pontiac, Inc. to the 1965 Pontiac Station Wagon currently <br />being used by the Police Department of the Village, and the balance of $2,623.50 <br />to be paid in cash, be and the same is hereby accepted. , <br />Sec. 2. The Mayor and the Clerk-Treasurer of the Village are hereby <br />authorized and empowered to execute all documents and do all things necessary <br />to carry out the provisions of this Ordinance. <br />Sec. 3. This ordittance is deemed to be an emergency measure, necessaxy <br />for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare <br />of the Village of biayfield and its inhabitants in order to obtain as soon as <br />economically possible better police protection through more efficient equipment <br />and this ordinance shall go into effect and be in force immediately upon the <br />date of its passage. <br />Passed this 20th day of March, 1967. <br />Attest: <br />Mayor - President of Counc 1 <br />(Seal) Clerk-Treas rer
