ORDINANCB No. 998 <br />By Mr. Shaw <br />Af] ORDINANCS TO qiVIFND SSCTION 1 OF ORDINANCE No. 940, pS <br />BMEND$D, BY ADDING PARAGRAPH 1643.58 (h) PERTAINING TO <br />NON-C0NFORASING _SIGNS. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNGIL OF THE VIL7.AGS OF MAYFIELD9 CUYAHOGA COUNTYs <br />OHIO $ TNAT: . . . - - - - ' ' - ' <br />Sec. 1, fixisting Section 1 of Ordinance No. 940, entitled: "pn <br />Ordinance Amending Chapter 43 of Section 1 of Ordinance No. 726, Knoyn as _ <br />the Regional Building Code, by Adding Paragraph 1643.58 Imposing Requirements <br />for Outdoor Signs in Commercial Districts, and Repealing_Certain Paragraphs <br />in said Chapter 43" as amended by Ordinance Nom 968, is hereby amended <br />further by adding paragraph 1643.58 (h), which shall read, as follows: <br />f'Paragraph 1643.58 (h) Non-ConEOrming signs. <br />"Notwithstanding any of the provisions of Ordinance No. 940, as <br />amended,-signs ( whether they be projecting signs, ground signs, roof <br />signs, or wall signs) which were in existence oa the date o£ the <br />passage of Ordinance.No. 940, may upon peLmit granted by the Building <br />Inspector and approved by the Architectural Board of Review be repaired, <br />restored, substituted for, or replaced by a like sign not larger i:n.4ize <br />than the original sign, providing the Building Inspector and prchitectural <br />Board of Review find that such new sign dces not constitute a hazard <br />to safety and is un accordance with the general principles set forth in <br />paragraph 1643.5 (b) of Ordinance No. 940." <br />Sec. 2. In all other respects, said Ordinance No. 940, as amended by <br />Ordinance No. 96$, shall remain in full force and effect. <br />Sec. 3.
