ORDINANCE No. 1002 <br />By Mr. Shaw <br />AN ORDINANCE TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH THB <br />CITY OF UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS FOR RADIO_SEROICE <br />BE ZT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF MAYFIII.D, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, <br />OHIO, ALL MII+IBERS ELECTED THERETO CONCURRING, THAT: _ <br />Sec. 1. The Mayor and the Clerk-Treasurer of the Village of Mayfield, <br />Ohio, are hereby authorized and directed'to execute on behalf of the Village a <br />contract in writing with the City of University Heights, Ohio, establishing rates <br />for police radio call service £or a period of two years commencing June 1, 1967, <br />and ending May 31, 1969. Council hereby approves the form of contract submitted <br />to it by the City of University Heights, which, among ather things, provides that <br />the Village of Mayfield shall be_charged $30.00 per month as a flat rate, to <br />include up to 100 broadcast calls, whether originating from car or atation, all <br />broadcast calls in excess of 100 per month to be charged and paid for at the rate <br />of 100 per call, monthly. Said agreement further provides that all telephone <br />calls made by the station at the request of cars will be charged at the rate of <br />100 per call, and that, if the Village of Mayfield lists the City of University <br />Heights' telephone number in the telephotte directory, a charge of $10.00 per <br />month will be made for this aervice. For use of the equipment of the City of <br />University Heights by the Village of Mayfield, having remote control Eacilities, <br />there shall be an extra charge of $10.00 per month. Said contract is subject <br />to termiaatiop by either party upon 60 dayst written notice to the other party. <br />Sec. 2. There is hereby appropri.ated from the General Fund an amount of <br />money sufficient to carry out the obligations of the Village of Mayfield under <br />said contract. <br />Sec. 3. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure, <br />necessary for the i¢mediate preservation of the public peace, health, and <br />safety of the Village of Mayfield and its in habitants, for the reason that <br />its iumediate passage is necessary in order to coatinue radio call service, and <br />this Ordinance shall be in force and effect from and after the date of its <br />passage. <br />Passed this 17th day of April, 1967. <br />? <br />9M??
