ORDINANCE No. 1008 <br />By Mr. 4lalker <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CLERK-TREASURER <br />TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH YOUNG FIRE EQUIPMENT <br />CORPORATION FOR TNE PURCHASE OF A PUMPER AND EQUIPMENT <br />FOR $31,477.00 <br />WHEREAS, Young Fire Equipmettt Corporation, a responsible bidder, duly <br />filed its bid with the Clerk-Treasurer of the Village of Mayfield, in accordance <br />with laca, offering to sell to the Village <br />1- 1000- GPM Triple Combinatiott Pumper and <br />Accessory Equipment, <br />as described in its bid, according to the specifications on file in the office <br />of the Clerk-Treasurer, for the sum of $31,477.00; and <br />WNEREAS, the said bid is the lowest attd best bid submitted. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VZLLAGE OF MAYFIELD, <br />CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OHIO, THAT: <br />Sec. 1. The bid of Young Fire Equipment Corporation, offering to sell <br />to the Village o£ Mayfield, 1-1000- GPM Triple Combination Pumper and Accessory <br />Equipment, according to the specifications set forth in its bid made in connection <br />with the advertisement for bids, for the total sum of $31,477.00, be and the same <br />is hereby accepted. <br />Sec. 2. The Piayor and the Clerk-Treasurer of the Village are hereby <br />authorized and empowered to execute all documents and do all things necessary <br />to carry out the provisions of this ordinance. <br />Sec. 3. This ordinance is deemed to be an emergency measure, necessary <br />for the immediate preservatiott of the public peace, health, safety and welfare <br />of the Village of May£ield and its inhabitants in order to obtain as soon as <br />economically possible better fire protection through more efficient equipment, <br />and this ordinance shall go into effect attd be in full force immediately upon <br />the date of its passage. <br />Passed this 15th day of May, 1967.
