ORDINANCE No. 1015 <br />' By Mr. Davis <br />; AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT <br />, WITH THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF CUYAHOGA <br />, COUNTY OHIO FOR THE CARE OF PRISONERS SIIVT TO THE <br />? CUYAHOGA COUNTY JAIL BY THE VILLAGE OF MAYFIELD <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF MAYFIELD, CUYAHOGA COUNTY <br />OHIO, THAT: <br />Sec. 1. The Mayor and the Clerk of the Village of P4ayfield, Ohio, are <br />hereby authorized to execute on behalf of the Village a contract with the <br />Board of County Commissioners of Cuyahoga County, Ohio, for the care of <br />prisoners sent to Cuyahoga County Jail by the Village of Mayfield, such <br />contract to provide for a rate of $6.50 per day for each prisoner so sent. <br />Such agreement shall be in force and effect from and after the first day <br />of July, 1967, and may be terminated by either party at its option by <br />giving thirty days' notice in writing of its intention so to do. <br />Sec. 2. This Ordinance is hereby deemed to be an emergency measure, <br />necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety <br />and welfare of the Village of Diayfield and its inhabitants for the reason <br />that the Village does not have the facilities for the housing of prisoners <br />and it is imperative that arrangements be made with the County of Cuyahoga <br />for that purpose, and this Ordinance shall be in force and effect from <br />and after the date of its passage. <br />Passed this 19th day of June, 1967. <br />Cxlz cY ???? <br />Mayor - President of Coun il <br />Attest: <br />\ ?hT Z ?f?/?3-L V <br />SEAL) Glerk-Treasure <br />
