CHAPTER 27 <br />OTHER PROVISIONS <br />Sec. 111,2701 Declaration of Legislative Intent. <br />If any sentence, clause, section or part of this ordinance <br />or any tax against any individual or any of the several groups specified herein, <br />is found to be uneonstitutional, illegal or invalid, such unconstitutionality, <br />illegality or invalidity shall affect only such clause, sentence, section or <br />part of this ordinance and shall not affect or impair any of the remaining <br />provisions, sentences, clauses, sections or other parts of this ordinance. <br />It is hereby declared to be the intentioa of the Council of the Village of <br />Mayfield that this ordinance would have been adopted had such unconstitutional, <br />illegal or invalid sentence, clause, section or part thereof not been included <br />herein. <br />Sec. 111.2702 Collection of Tax (ifter Termination of this-Ordinapge. <br />(a) This ordinance shall continue effective insofar as the <br />levy of taxes is concerned until repealed, and insofar as the collection of <br />taxes levied hereunder and actions and proceedings for collecting any tax so <br />levied or enforcing any provisions of this ordinance are concerned, it shall <br />continue effective until all of said taxes levied in the aforesaid period <br />are fully paid and any and all suits and prosecutions for the collection of <br />said taxes or for the punishment of violations of this ordinance shall have <br />been fully terminated, subject to the limitations contained in Sections 111e1701, <br />111.1702, 111.1703, 111.1505, 111.1506, and 111.1507 hereof. <br />(b) 'Annual returns due for all or any part of the last effective <br />year of this ordinance shall be due on the date provided in Sections 111.1101 <br />and 111.1302 of this ordiaance as though the same were continuing. <br />Sec. 2. This ordinanee is hereby declared to be an emergency measure, <br />necessary for the immediate preservation oE the public peace, health, safety <br />and wel£are of the Vfllage of Mayfield and its inhabitants, and for the further <br />reason that the enactment oE a Municipal Income Tax is essential in order to <br />prov'ide sufficient.funds to maintain and operate,the departments of the Village <br />and to provide increased services to the residents, and, provided it receives <br />the affirmative vote of two-thirds of the members elected to Council it shall <br />take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage; otherwise, at the <br />earliest period al.lowed by law. <br />Passed this 215t day of Auqust , 1967. <br />1 , <br />1 <br />1 <br />? <br />Attest: <br />Mayor - Pre dent of Coun il <br />(Seal) Clerk-Tre surer <br />20.
