TO ENTFsR INTO, A CONTRACT WITH. <br />CEfI.ABRESE CFMENT_& MASONRy CONSTRUCTION, INC, FOR THE_„ <br />CONSTRUCTION OF.SIDfiWALKS ON BIDGEBURY BOULEVAItD WHBN <br />FUNDS ARE_AVAILABLE OR ISd THE PROC$SS OF CULLECTION <br />WNEREAS, Council of the Village of Mayfield, Ohio, has heretofore deemed <br />it necessary to construct sidewalks on Ridgebury Boulevard in said Village, <br />and has advertised and received bids therefor according to law; and <br />WHSEtFsyS, the bid of Calabreae Cement & Masonry Construction, Inc„ a <br />responsible bidder, itt the amount of $1,865.50 is deteLmined by Council to be <br />the lowest and best bid submitted by a duly qualified bidder. <br />NOW THERfiFORE BE IT ORDpINID BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF MAYFIII,D, <br />CUYAHOGA CWNTY9 _OftIO, THAT: <br />Sec. 1. All bids except that of Calabrese Cement & Masonry Construction, <br />inc. for the construction of sidewalks on Ridgebury Boulevard are herehy rejected <br />and the Clerk-Treasurer is authorized and directed to return to all bidders, <br />except Calabrese Cement & Masonry Construction, Inc „ the certified check or <br />bank checks which accompanied their bids, . <br />Sec. 2. The Mayor and the Clerk-Treasurer of the Village of MayEield, <br />Ohio, are hereby authorized to enter into a contract in writing on behalf of <br />said Village with Calabrese Cement & Masonry Construction, Iac. for the <br />construction and installation of sidewalks on Bidgebury Boulevard in said <br />Village, for the sum of $1.865.50, at such time as the necessary fuads for <br />that purpose are available or in the process of collection, said contract to <br />be perfozmed in accordaace with the plans and specifications filed bq the <br />Village Engineer in connection with the invitation for bids. <br />Sec. 3. This ordinance is hereby deemed to be an emerge¢cy measure, <br />necessary for the imediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety <br />and wel£are of the pillage of Mayfield and its iahabitants, and for the further <br />reason that the immediate construction of such sidewalks is urgently required <br />to permit safe passage of persons using said street and to eliminate existing <br />hazards to pedestrians, and this ordinance shall be ia force and effect from <br />and after the date of its passage. <br />Passed this 18th day of September, 1967. <br />qttest: ? <br />c?///JJJ L n.i <br />Mayor - President of Counc 1 <br />(Seal) Clerk-Treasurler <br />
