ORDINANCE NO. 2008-11 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 1333 <br />OF THE VILLAGE'S CODIFIED ORDINANCES ADOPTING <br />THE 2008 EDITION OF THE NATIONAL FIRE PROTECTION ASSOCIATION <br />N.F.P.A. - 70 NATIONAL ELECTRIC CODE. <br />WHEREAS, at this time, due to the publishing of the 2008 Edition of the <br />National Fire Protection Association N.F.P.A. - 70 National Electric Code, it has been <br />deemed in the best interest of the health, safety and welfare of all Village residents to <br />specifically amend Chapter 1333 to adopt as the Electrical Code of Mayfield Village, <br />the "2008 Edition of the National Fire Protection Association N.F.P.A. - 70 National <br />Electric Code." <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. Section 1333.01 of the Codified Ordinances of the Village <br />pertaining to the Electrical Code of Mayfield Village, is hereby and herein amended to <br />read as follows: <br />1333.01 ADOPTION; ENFORCEMENT <br />(a) There is hereby adopted as the Electrical <br />Code of Mayfield Village the ~9A~ 2008 Edition of the <br />National Fire Protection Association N.F.P.A. - 70 <br />National Electric Code. <br />(b) The National Electric Code shall be <br />enforced by the Building Commissioner and the Electrical <br />Safety Inspector. <br />SECTION 2. All other references in Chapter 1333 to the Electric Code or <br />National Electric Code shall mean the 2008 Edition of the National Fire Protection <br />Association N.F.P.A. - 70 National Electric Code. Furthermore, all other Codified <br />Ordinances not specifically amended herein shall remain in effect unless inconsistent <br />with this Ordinance. <br />SECTION 3. The Clerk of Council is authorized and directed to forward a <br />certified copy of this Ordinance to the Codifier of the Village of Mayfield. <br />SECTION 4. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this <br />Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings <br />of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting <br />in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, incompliance with all <br />
