Scope of Agreement <br />Thinsolutions agrees to offer a Backup and Disaster Recovery Solution (BDR) designed to backup <br />multiple Microsoft 32-bit Windows 2000 and Windows 2003 Servers. <br />The BDR Solution is monitored and managed 24x7 by our Managed Services. Daily verification tests will <br />be performed to verify the integrity of the data. In the event of server failure, a virtual server can be <br />configured in as quickly as two hours. In the event of a disaster at the client location, the client will have a <br />fully functional server within 48 hours, on the weekdays, and within 96 hours if the event occurs on a <br />weekend. <br />Services Provided <br />a. An on-site Network Attached Storage (NAS) unit that provides fast server virtualization <br />capabilities in the event of server failure. <br />b. Secure Remote (Off-site) Storage provided at two hardened Data Centers. <br />c. Day to day data restoration and full recovery in the event of catastrophe. <br />d. Full management of the NAS and remote storage. <br />e. Initial one-time test restore to determine that system is fully functional and software is <br />compatible with the BDR Solution and quarterly testing after system is in place. <br />2. Backup Frequency <br />Our service will protect your data as frequently as every 15 minutes every day, dependent upon client <br />Internet bandwidth availability. This provides hundreds of additional backup copies vs. tape backup <br />allowing multiple restore points to recover the most current version of your data just prior to the data <br />loss event. Off-site backup frequencies will be dependent on image sizes and Internet bandwidth <br />available. At minimum, service will protect data at 12 hour intervals. <br />3. Remote Storage provided at two high availability Data Centers <br />a. Highly redundant storage with backup images stored at the data centers on a SAN (Storage <br />Area Network) at the primary facility, then replicated to the secondary facility. <br />b. Connectivity provided by multiple providers with automatic failover capabilities. <br />c. Full physical security at each facility including security cameras, key card and biometric <br />access. <br />4. Data Retention <br />Our service offers scheduled backup plans that include a 7-Day, 14-Day or 30-Day archives on the <br />NAS which can be selectively pushed out to a remote storage facility. The option of expanding the <br />retention period from a 1-Year to 7-Year History is also available at additional storage cost in <br />increments of 1GB. <br />5. Remote Storage and Base Remote Backup Image Creation <br />a. Your data is stored (in encrypted form) in two secure online data backup centers, located <br />hundreds of miles apart from each other. <br />b. In some cases, the BASE IMAGE will be transmitted across the internet to the primary remote <br />storage facility. The time that it takes to perform this remote backup will vary significantly <br />depending on the amount and types of files being backed up and on the upload speed of your <br />Internet connection. These factors both determine the time it takes to build the base backup <br />image. <br />6. Minimum Remote Storage Requirements <br />a. Remote storage is provided in increments of 1 GB. There is no minimum storage requirement <br />tied to this Agreement. Remote storage is tracked on a monthly basis. <br />7.
