RESOLUTION NO. 2016-10 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Bodnar and Council as a Whole AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DONATION OF CERTAIN COMMUNITY ROOM PROPERTY TO HABITAT FOR HUMANITY OR OTHER NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION WHEREAS, the Village of Mayfield is in possession of certain property owned by the Village and located in the Village's Community Room that is no longer needed for public use, or is obsolete or unfit for the use for which it was acquired; and WHEREAS, at the recommendation of the Village Administration, the Village wishes to donate this property to Habitat for Humanity or other non-profit organization WHEREAS, Section 721.15 of the Ohio Revised Code allows the disposition of such municipal property through donation to be authorized by the legislative authority of the municipal corporation; and WHEREAS, Council deems it necessary and in the best interest to the health, safety and welfare of all Village residents to dispose of such municipal property through donation to Habitat for Humanity or other non-profit organization. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Village of Mayfield, County of Cuyahoga and State of Ohio: SECTION 1. That the following municipal property owned by and currently in possession of the Village be donated to Habitat to Humanity or other non-profit organization in an "AS IS" condition since they are no longer useable by the Village and that the Service Director is authorized to make this donation: • Small VCR/DVD player • Small TV • TV cart • Projector cart • 2 tall file cabinets (4-drawer) • 6 desks • 1. large one-shelf desktop unit • 1 dehumidifier • 1 fax machine • 1 large wooden literature rack • 2 plastic 4-shelf storage units • llectern • A small desktop file compartment rack • 3 metal storage cabinets • 1 butcher block top small cabinet • 1 projection screen • Cabinetry in storage room and kitchen
