RESOLUTION NO. 2016-18 <br />Introduced by Mayor Bodnar and Council as a Whole <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR <br />TO SEEK FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FROM THE <br />STATE ISSUE I INFRASTRUCTURE BOND PROGRAM <br />FOR FUNDING OF PHASE II OF THE SEWER PROJECT ON <br />THORNAPPLE, ROBLEY AND A PORTION OF V6'ILSON MILLS ROAD <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY <br />WHEREAS, the State Capital Improvement Program and the Local Transportation <br />hnprovement Program both provide financial assistance to political subdivisions for capital <br />improvements to public infrastructure; and <br />WHEREAS, Mayfield Village has planned atwo-phase capital improvements project for <br />Eastgate, Meadowood, Thornapple, Robley and a portion of Wilson Mills Road; and <br />WHEREAS, the first phase of this project, involving the installation of sanitary sewers on <br />Eastgate and Meadowood has been completed, and the second phase of the project is for sewer <br />installation on Thornapple, Robley, and a portion of Wilson Mills Road; and <br />WHEREAS, the infrastructure improvement hereinabove described is considered to be a <br />priority need for the community and is a qualified project under the Ohio Public Works <br />Commission's programs; and <br />WHEREAS, the Village has conducted a capital inventory and needs assessment and has <br />determined that it is necessary to submit applications for financial assistance for Capital <br />Infrastructure Improvement Projects. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to apply directly to the Ohio Public Works <br />Commission for all of the following capital infrastructure improvement projects: <br />1) SEWER PROJECTS ON THE FOLLOWING ROADS: <br />Thornapple; <br />Robley; and <br />A portion of Wilson Mills Road. <br />
