RESOLUTION NO. 2017-11 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Bodnar and Council as a Whole AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION OF SUPPORT AND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF AUTHORIZATION FOR THE MAYOR AND DIRECTOR OF FINANCE TO PREPARE AND SUBMIT AN APPLICATION FOR THE 2018 CUYAHOGA COUNTY SUPPLEMENTAL GRANT PROGRAM WHEREAS, the 2018 Cuyahoga County Supplemental Grant Program ("2018 Grant Program") is a competitive award program that will provide financial assistance to municipalities for community development projects; and WHEREAS, Mayfield Village wishes to obtain financial assistance under the 2018 Grant Program to assist with funding the construction of Phase II of The Grove Ampitheatre Band Shell. WHEREAS, Council deems it necessary and in the best interest to the health, safety and welfare of all Village residents to submit an application for the 2018 Grant Program. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: SECTION 1. The Council of Mayfield Village supports and acknowledges the authorization for the preparation and submittal by the Mayor and Director of Finance of an application for the 2018 Grant Program to assist with funding the construction of Phase II of The Grove Ampitheatre Band Shell. SECTION 2. The Village does hereby agree to obligate any funds required to become eligible for reimbursement under the terms and conditions of the 2018 Grant Program. SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of the Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public in compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. SECTION 4. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the health, safety and welfare of the residents
