. <br />? Lp <br />4 <br />RESOLUTION 2015-04 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Bruce G. Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />A RESOLUTION OF APPREGIATION TO DIAIVE A. CALTA <br />WHEREAS, Joseph W. Diemert of Diemert & Associates has served as the Law Director for <br />Mayfield Village since 1992; and <br />WHEREAS, Diane A. Calta was hired by Diemert & Associates as an associate attorney in 1999 <br />upon admission to the practice of law in the State of Ohio; and <br />V16HEREAS, in 2003, Diane A. Calta was appointed as tt';e Assistant Law Director for Mayfield <br />Village; and <br />U!lHEI2EAS, for the past 16 years, Diane A. Calta has worked closely with the Mayor, Council, <br />Department Heads, staff, and residents serving on various Committees, Boards and Commissions, <br />providing day-to day legal advice, negotiating and drafting contracts and easements and drafting <br />legislation and legal opinions on municipal issues including planning and zoning, public records and <br />employment laws; and <br />WHEREAS, Diane A. Calta was instrumental in the successful completion of many projects within <br />Mayfield Village's borders that include: the widening of SOM Center Road; the expansion of <br />Progressive Insurance Companies; the Parkview recreational complex; the Police Station; the <br />Mayfield Branch of the County Library system; the Greenway Trail; and, a variety of other community <br />infrastructure projects undertaken during the last 16 years; and <br />WHEREAS, Diane A. Calta has become more than our legal advisor; she has become our colleague <br />and friend; and <br />VVHEREAS, Diane A. Calta has accepted a position with another law firm; yet, while she will no <br />longer be available to assist us with Village legal matters, we trust our friendship with Diane will <br />continue; and <br />WHEREAS, Diane A. Calta's devoted and capable service to Mayfield Village was evident during <br />her tenure as Mayfield Village Assistant Law Director and so should not go unnoticed without an <br />expression of appreciation by her peers. She will be greatly missed. <br />NOW, THEREFOFtE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COdJNCIL OF IVIAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, <br />THAT: <br />Diane A. Calta be and is hereby recognized for <br />sixteen (16) years of dedicated and exceptional service to N9ayfield Village. <br />SECTIOfd 1. The Village of Mayfield, its Mayor, Council, residents, employers, employees <br />and officials wish to thank Diane A. Calta for her many years of dedicated and tireless service; and <br />SECs!Oh! 2. The Council finds and ueiermines that aii formal actions of the Council relating <br />to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in <br />? meetings open to the public in compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements <br />of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 3. The Clerk of Council is hereby authorized and directed to prepare duplicate <br />original copies of this Resolution. One such original shall be presented to Diane A. Calta. The other <br />original shall be placed in the permanent records of the Village as a lasting tribute to Diane A. Calta. <br />SECTION 4.
