SECTION VIII <br />HIRIIVG P1aOCESS <br />The County is bound by a Collective Bargaining Contract and Human Resource/County rules for <br />hiring dispatchers and cannot guarantee employment of MV staff. However, while the County <br />cannot guarantee the hiring of any individual, applicants with previous dispatch center <br />experience, especially those who know the dispatching areas of Mayfield Village, will be <br />strongly considered. <br />SECTIOleT IX ? <br />INTEROPERABILITY/RADIOS <br />? <br />4 <br />Cuyahoga County continuously encourages Countywide Interoperabilit?` diigration of <br />public safety off legacy radio systems. ? <br />(? `, ? <br />As such, the County is willing to fund the radio upgrade needs?or M?to a 700 or 800 MHz <br />?? <br />P25 radio system. The County will provide funding for the ,?li?ce and Fire needs to include <br />all portable and mobile radios. The cost will be paid by the ?- ou?'t,y.`Tt will be the responsibility <br />of MV to pay for mobile installation costs. ? <br />CECOMS will provide Mobile Data TerminalsA?for eh ?ire apparatus (2), rescue squad (2), and <br />chase vehicles (2), as well as police vehicle n? tently equipped (5). Connectivity and <br />?? ? <br />configuration with the CAD system, alon?; L(GPS) will also be provided. <br />CECOMS will provide all police O2s with the required 2-factor authentication (as mandated <br />by CJIS). <br />It is the responsibili%of ztoe,,btiate its radio contract and pay the monthly user fees. <br />? <br />SECTION X <br />'?''• ??• USERS GIZOUP <br />Cuyah o. ga?o nt. ?l?as established a Dispatch Users Group (DUG) which serves as a forum for <br />infor•ma?i ?n? hange and discussion. The DUG includes representatives from all agencies of <br />'" <br />wlil'ch CF{ ,?OMS dispatches. Users Group meetings are currently held not less frequently than <br />four4'),?t?„nnes a year, but as needed with the current client that CECOMS provides dispatch <br />services to. However, and to assist in the transition process, DUG meetings will be held as <br />required to facilitate program implementation. During the initial phases of implementation it is <br />expected that the Users Group will meet regularly, even weekly. The Users Group will provide <br />the serviced municipalities an opportunity to express any issues, concerns, or suggestions. The <br />Users Group will be closely involved with the development and maintenance of Standard <br />Operating Guidelines, policies and protocols within the CECOMS Center. <br />5
