RESOLUTION NO. 2015-12 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DISPOSITION OF CERTAIN MUNICIPAL PROPERTY BY THE FIRE DEPARTMENT OF THE VILLAGE OF MAYFIELD WHEREAS, the Fire Deparhnent of the Village of Mayfield is in possession of certain property owned by the Village that is no longer needed for public use, or is obsolete or unfit for the use for which it was acquired; and WHEREAS, Section 721.15 of the Ohio Revised Code requires the disposition of personal municipal property to be authorized by the legislative authority of the municipal corporation; and WHEREAS, Council deems it necessary and in the best interest to the health, safety and welfare of all Village residents to dispose of such municipal property by authorizing the sale of such property by internet auction. NOW, THEREFORE, SE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Village of Mayfield, County of Cuyahoga and State of Ohio: t SECTION 1. Municipal property owned by the Village and currently in possession of the Village Fire Department is itemized on the document attached as Exhibit "A." SECTION 2. Upon review of the information provided by the Village Fire Department, Council hereby determines that the property set forth in Exhibit A is municipal property that is no longer needed for public use, or is obsolete or unfit for the use for which it was acquired, and authorizes the sale of such property by internet auction. SECTION 3. The sale of the property set forth in Exhibit A shall be conducted by the Chief of the Village Fire Department through the internet auction site govdeals.com, as set forth in the document attached as Exhibit "B." A minimum of ten (10) calendar days, including Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays, shall be allotted for bidding, and the property shall have minimum reserve pricing as set forth in Exhibit "A". SECTION 4. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of the Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public in compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. 41 U:',.COUNCIL\COUNCIL 201 5\RESOLUTIONSV 2- Fire department equipmen[.doc
