RESOLUTION NO. 2015-17 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION <br />AUTHORIZING 'PHE CONTINUANCE OF THE <br />MEIVYORAlVDUM OF UNDERSTANI)ING <br />WITH THE CUYAHOGA SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION I)ISTRICT <br />FOIZ PROVIDING TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE IN <br />IMPLEMENTING SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION MEASURES <br />WHEREAS, on July 28, 2014, Mayfield Village entered into a Memorandum of <br />Understanding with the Cuyahoga Soil and Water Conservation District for providing technical <br />assistance in implementing soil and water conservation measures (See, Exhibit A attached, <br />Resolution 2014-17 with executed Memorandum of Understanding attached); <br />WHEREAS, Mayfield Village wishes to continue operating under the current Memorandum <br />of Understanding for 2016. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, <br />OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. Council hereby authorizes the continuance of the Memorandum of <br />Understanding with the Cuyahoga Soil and Water Conservation District for providing technical <br />assistance in implementing soil and water conservation measures. <br />SECTION 2. Council additionally authorizes an expenditure in the amount of $13,000 for <br />the 2016 Storm Water Pollution Prevention Program to cover the costs of on-site technical <br />assistance, storm water pollution prevention reviews and reports, training and assistance to site <br />operators, city staff and landowners. <br />SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of the Council relating <br />to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meetirigs of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in <br />meetings open to the public in compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements <br />of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 3. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure necessary for <br />the immediate preservation of the health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village. It <br />shall, therefore, take effect immediately upon passage by the affirmative vote of not less than five (5)
