RESOLUTION NO. 2015-20 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />AN RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE <br />MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A CONTINUANCE OF <br />THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING <br />WITH THE CHAGRIN RIVER WATERSHED PARTNERS, INC. <br />FOR PROVIDING ASSISTANCE TO MAYFIELD VILLAGE <br />RELATIVE TO FULFILLING OBLIGATIONS UNDER ITS <br />STORMWATER MANAGEMENT PROGRAM <br />WHEREAS, Chagrin River Watershed Partners, Inc. is a non-profit corporation formed by <br />communities in the Chagrin River watershed to assist those communities in the management of <br />stormwater runoff and related resource management issues. <br />WHEREAS, Mayfield Village is a member in good standing of the Chagrin River Watershed <br />Partners, Inc. <br />WHEREAS, Mayfield Village is required to obtain a permit from the Ohio Environmental <br />Protection Agency under General National Pollution Discharge and Elimination System (NPDES) <br />Permit No.: OHQ000003 for stormwater discharges from its MS4, as defined in the permit. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, <br />OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. Council hereby authorizes the continuance of the Memorandum of <br />Understanding with the Chagrin River Watershed Partners, Inc. from January 1, 2015 to December <br />31, 2019 for providing assistance in fulfilling obligations under its stormwater management program <br />(Exhibit A attached hereto). • <br />SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of the Council relating <br />to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in <br />meetings open to the public in compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements <br />of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 3. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure necessary for <br />the immediate preservation of the health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village. It
